I have been teaching for 25 years for the Mobile County Public School System.  During this time, I have been a first grade teacher, media specialist, intervention/jump-start teacher, and currently a kindergarten teacher.  Children learn best through meaning play and explicit instruction and exploration.  I strive to nurture and lead my little explorers to becoming lifelong learners who are responsible, respectful, and resourceful as they explore new ideas and experiences.  Family is the most precious gift bestowed upon us.  My husband and I just celebrated our 35 wedding anniversary.  We have three adult children.  One of them lives at home with us.  Our younger son is attending the University of South Alabama to pursue a degree in Business Management.  Our older son is a banker for Region's Bank after graduating in business at University of South Alabama.  Our daughter has relocated Massachusetts to follow her dreams of being a behavioral specialist in graduate school.  I love to cook, garden, swim, spend time with my family, and collect new children's books.
